World Series of Poker 2004
The 2004 World Series of Poker, the biggest poker tournament in the world, begins April 23 at Binion's Horseshoe in downtown Las Vegas.

The tournament was started by Benny Binion in 1970 and included seven of the world's most noted poker players.

Anyone 21 years old or older is eligible to enter any or all of the tournament events by posting the required buy-in for the event.

Tennessee amateur wins tournament

Chris Moneymaker of Spring Hill, Tenn., was the 2003 World Series of Poker Champion. The 27-year-old amateur who parlayed a $40 investment in an online poker tournament into a $2.5 million win -- the biggest poker tourney prize ever.
